Cats the movie is technically based on Cats the Broadway show, but that musical is based on a book called Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. The cast is absolutely loaded, with Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson, and Idris Elba starring. It’s going to be major.

The Goldfinch is based on the book of the same name written by Donna Tartt. The story follows a boy named Theo (Ansel Elgort) after his mother was killed in a terrorist attack in an art museum. When Theo grows up and deals with his loss, he ends up in the underground world of art forgery where Nicole Kidman is in it, too.

8. The Woman in the Window

The Woman in the Window is based on the novel by A. J. Finn. It centers around Anna Fox (played by Amy Adams), a woman suffering from agoraphobia who prefers spending time spying on her neighbors to going outside of her New York City home. When she witnesses something that she should, she intervene, and if she shouldn’t, she has to figure out how.

9. The Rhythm Section

In The Rhythm Section, Blake Lively plays a woman named Stephanie who goes undercover to figure out who was responsible for the plane crash having killed her family.

10. It Chapter Two

If one movie of Stephen King weren’t enough for 2019, we are getting another –  It Chapter Two. This movie focuses on the Losers Club as adults and apparently features the scariest scene from the book. You had better take every opportunity to sleep now, before this movie ruins everything for you. The success of “It” was huge and included a lot of costumes, figures and souvenirs. In Canada, a lot of online casinos started to use It as a theme for their online slots games.

11.Little Women

Little Women is about to get its eighth film adaptation. Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern, Eliza Scanlan, Saoirse Ronan, and Florence Pugh are all set to star.
